Respect them all. Especially when you don't see a reason why to

Some of the probably not very rare times, that you feel you are absolutely sick of meeting, seeing, talking, listening and noding to persons that you are not apreciate so much, understatement, are the most important for your career.

A few years ahead, you would probably find out a negative corelation between what you have considered as important persons for your future, and their contribution de facto. On the other hand, from time to time you would find your self enjoying some of the contacts you had somehow kept alive, with people you had defined in a good day as old-useless-dirty-out-of-focus guys.

Moreover, your job is to give an extra respect especially for people you believe would not contribute to your promotion AT ALL. These poeple could be your Boss, ex-Boss, coleagues, clients, workers, parents of you workers, Dad and Mom...

Do not underestimate this advise and make a complete seperation between your "grade" to other people and the way you treat them. You shall respect other humanbeings like you would like them to respect you. You will ALWAYS find our thet this advice is one of the best anybody could give you. And the more chalanging it is - the better.
